Luis Garcia gets the ball for the ‘Stros tonight in Game Six. He’ll be pitching on short rest, but the Houston bullpen is at full strength. And you know what Dusty is most excited about? His team will be able to take BP before the game tonight at Minute-Maid, something they were unable to do in Games Three and Four because of the weather in Atlanta.
Yeah, the Chiefs won. But I wouldn’t consider them “well,” or “healed,” would you?
It’s kinda sad to see Von Miller leave Denver. But I get it. Great opportunity for Miller. The Rams have to be doing cartwheels. And the Broncos couldn’t let Miller walk in free agency and get nothing.
So Miller is one less thing for the Cowboys—and Dak—to worry about Sunday against Denver. Yeah, Mr. Prescott is now good to go.
And now the Rams can pair Miller on the same defensive line with Aaron Donald? Great Googly-Moogly…
Often, teams don’t “win” in the NFL as much as they survive, or try to. The Titans and Saints are now in full survival mode.
Tennessee is bringing in Adrian Peterson while Derrick Henry is recovering from foot surgery? Peterson is not King Henry at this point in their respective careers, but he’ll fit the system.
Who’s gonna play quarterback in New Orleans now that Jameis won’t be? Taysom Hill, if he can get fully healthy? Trevor Siemian, who did a very nice job coming off the bench to beat the Bucs last Sunday? And the Saints also have rookie draft choice Ian Book, the former Golden Domer.
Sean Payton is blaming the artificial turf in the Superdome for Winston’s torn ACL. I strongly suspect Payton is correct.
Lotsa shock being expressed in college football over Gary P.’s departure from TCU. I’m saddened, but not surprised. Patterson did one of the absolute best jobs in college football history during his two-plus decades in Fort Worth. But that program has been in clear decline for three years, and that is a “right now” business, as well as a brutal one. With all the conference musical chairs realignments and coaching vacancies at marquee places like LSU and USC—and lots more dominoes to fall—TCU felt the need to announce the move before the end of the season.
Where’s Gary going? To a cush TV studio analyst position, if you ask me. (And I have zero “inside” information.) He’s actually a very funny and engaging guy when his BP isn’t about 310/185 during a game.

Allowing Texas to come into your house and walk out with a 4th lead and ultimately a win is a fireable offense! No excuse for that in 2021
