That’s an interesting law that California Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law Friday. It allows private citizens in California to bring civil suits against anyone who manufactures, distributes or transports assault weapons or “ghost guns,” which are banned in that state. The law is modeled after the controversial Texas law that allows citizens to sue anyone who assists in a pregnant person getting an abortion.
