The LSU Tigers are in Seventh Heaven after claiming another college baseball national championship. It’s the Bayou Bengals’ seventh MCWS title, but their first since 2009. One night after giving up the most runs ever in a MCWS game (24), LSU pounded out 24 hits and buried Florida 18-4 in their deciding game in Omaha. LSU’s seven championships are second only to USC’s 12 in MCWS history.

I hope everyone appreciates the remarkable athletic feat pulled off by Eagles’ WR Devon Allen, who moonlights as a world-class high hurdler. Saturday in New York, Allen laid down a 13.04. That ties the fourth fastest time in the world this year. And Allen is still improving. He has lowered his time in each of the five races he has entered in 2023.
This insidious golf “merger” is not a done deal. Let’s hope the Senate sinks it.
