PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan is my Sports Hero of the Moment. His ultra-hard line against Tour players wanting to double-dip with the Murderous Saudis is completely justified and right on point. And, symbolically, I thought it was apropos Sunday when Tour loyalist Rory McIlroy won the Canadian Open. And did you hear the way Rory stuck it to Greg Norman in the post-tournament interviews? I loved it!
Fast Folks at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene include Florida’s Joseph Fahnbulleh, who won both the men’s 100 and 200, while Kentucky’s Abby Steiner set a collegiate record in taking the women’s 200 in 21.80. The Amazing Ms. Steiner also ran a ridiculous 48.92 split in leading UK to the 4 X 400 relay championship. Say WHAT?
And did you see what NFL receiver Devon Alen did Sunday? The Eagles’ pass catcher ran the 110 hurdles in 12.84 at a meet in Belgium. Uhhh…that’s the third fastest time in history. And Allen is moonlighting…
